DeJunk

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 August 2026

DeJunk is designed to help you review and organise your Apple Photos library while keeping your photos private.

Your photos

DeJunk accesses your photo library only with your permission using Apple’s Photos framework.

Your photos are not uploaded to DeJunk servers. DeJunk does not operate a server that receives or stores your photos.

Photo analysis, including Similar Photos analysis, is performed on your device.

If you choose to include photos stored in iCloud, those photos may be downloaded to your device through Apple Photos and iCloud so that DeJunk can analyse them. DeJunk does not independently access or communicate with your iCloud account.

Changes to your photo library

DeJunk can help you review photos, edit supported photo metadata such as date and location, and identify photos for deletion.

Changes are made to your Apple Photos library only when you initiate the relevant action.

Photos selected for deletion are deleted using Apple’s Photos framework and are subject to Apple Photos’ Recently Deleted behaviour.

Information stored on your device

DeJunk stores app preferences and information needed to remember your DeJunk decisions and analysis progress on your device.

This information is used to provide DeJunk’s features and is not sent to DeJunk servers.
